Free Fonts

Here is a collection of Free Font sites that I have found very useful.

dafont.com One of the best, it allows you to type in your text and then search for the font that suits your needs
FontFreak - lots of good fonts it's been around a while and is a good resource.
SearchFreeFonts.com - Nice clean navigation to find the font you need.
BetterFonts.com - simple and clean site, with easy navigation
FontGarden.com - basic and easy to use
Fontmonster.com - not the best, but a good font resource
Misprintedtype.com - only a few fonts but they are good ones.

The below font sites are less user friendly due to pop-up windows bit have still have a good resource.
